【引言】
下面的小诗，都来自泰戈尔的《飞鸟集》。它们虽然都没有标题，但它们中间已经有一些成为了名句。
比如：Let life be beautiful like summer flowers and death like autumn leaves. （使生如夏花之绚烂，死如秋叶之静美）
虽然它们只有只言片语，却都富含哲理。有很多我想你以前都听过，我也希望你再听到我读起它们时，就像是，重遇了老朋友们。

《飞鸟集（1-20）》
The world puts off its mask of vastness to its lover.
It becomes small as one song,
as one kiss of the eternal.
世界面对它的爱人，摘下它浩瀚的面具。
它变小了，小如一支歌，
小如一次永恒的接吻。
Troup of little vagrants of the world,
leave your footprints in my words.
世界上的一队小小的漂泊者啊，
把你的足迹留在我的文字里吧。
If you shed tears when you miss the sun,
you also miss the stars.
如果你因失去了太阳而流泪，那么你也将错过群星。
Once we dreamt that we were strangers.
We wake up to find that we were dear to each other.
在梦里，
我们素不相识。
醒来时，
我们深爱彼此。
Stray birds of summer come to my window
to sing and fly away.
And yellow leaves of autumn,
which have no songs,
flutter and fall there with a sigh.
夏天的迷途飞鸟，飞到我的窗前歌唱 ，又飞走了。
秋天的黄叶，没有歌儿可唱，
只能一声叹息，
落在那里。
It is the tears of the earth
that keep her smiles in bloom.
是大地的泪水，让她总是笑靥如花。
The mighty desert is burning
for the love of a blade of grass
who shakes her head and laughs
and flies away.
无垠的沙漠热烈追求一叶绿草的爱
她摇摇头
笑着，飞走了。
The sands in your way beg for your song
and your movement, dancing water.
Will you carry the burden of their lameness?
跳着舞的流水啊，
你旅途中的沙，

Her wistful face haunts my dreams
like the rain at night.
她那热切的脸，
好似夜里的雨，
惊扰着我的梦。
Sorrow is hushed into peace in my heart
like the evening among the silent trees.
忧思在我的心里归于平静，如同暮色隐居山林。
